Vietnam Party Steering Committee reviews digital transformation progress

The Party Steering Committee for Digital Transformation held its fifth meeting to evaluate third-quarter results and outline key tasks for the fourth quarter of 2026. Chaired by Standing Secretary Tran Cam Tu, the session addressed both progress and existing bottlenecks in the digital transition of Party agencies.

Key challenges identified include insufficient awareness and leadership from some heads of agencies, weak implementation capacity, and limited coordination by the Standing Body. Additionally, the committee noted issues with data quality, such as errors and duplication in Party member data, as well as existing cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

To address these issues, the committee emphasized a shift in mindset from merely “completing tasks” to “creating products, results, and practical value,” following directives from General Secretary and President To Lam. Priority tasks for the upcoming period include issuing a digital architecture framework for Party agencies, approving feasibility studies for key projects, and finalizing the operation of the Party's data center within the national data center.
