Vietnam pivots trade strategy toward global supply chain integration
Vietnam is shifting its economic strategy from simple export orders toward deeper integration into global supply chains. Through the ‘GoGlobal’ program for 2026–2030, the country aims to enhance the competitiveness and brand presence of Vietnamese enterprises in international markets by supporting them through market research, product adaptation, and distribution network expansion.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has actively sought to attract strategic investment, calling on Indian firms such as the ACME Group and GMR Group to invest in clean energy, high technology, and infrastructure. Additionally, Vietnam is looking to deepen engagement with BRICS nations in areas including trade, logistics, and digital transformation.
International cooperation remains a priority, with discussions regarding smart agriculture models from South Korea and strengthened financial and investment ties with France. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung also reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to the WTO to promote inclusive and balanced global trade.
