Vietnam police recover mis‑sent bank transfers worth up to 500 million VND

Local police in several Vietnamese provinces have verified and helped citizens recover funds transferred to the wrong accounts.

In Ninh Bình, officers assisted Phạm Tiến Đại in reclaiming VND 9 million after a mistaken transfer. In Thanh Hóa, police coordinated the return of VND 190 million to the rightful owner after a bank error, and also facilitated the recovery of VND 20 million for Phạm Văn Trình. In Hanoi’s Thư Lâm commune, police confirmed that a VND 500 million transfer had been sent to the wrong recipient and oversaw the full repayment to the sender, T.X.H.

The process in each case involved the victim reporting the unexpected deposit, police conducting rapid verification with the relevant banks, and guiding the parties through the necessary paperwork to return the money. The efforts span late June and early July 2026 and demonstrate coordinated local law‑enforcement action to resolve financial mistakes.
