Vietnam Police urge 269 drivers to pay pending traffic fines
The traffic police of several Vietnamese provinces have announced that 269 vehicle owners should promptly pay overdue traffic fines under Decree 168. In Bac Ninh Province, 310 violations were recorded between July 11‑17, 2026, with lane‑marking infractions accounting for 160 cases. An Giang Province reported 74 violations from July 1‑15, mainly involving motorcycles and cars. Cao Bang Province detected 65 violations from July 15‑21, chiefly speeding and red‑light runs by motorcycles, electric bikes and cars, most bearing plates from Hanoi, Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang. The authorities advise owners to check the online portal (https://csgt.bocongan.gov.vn/tra-cuu-phat-nguoi) and settle the fines.
The police emphasize the need for road‑safety compliance and warn that personal convenience should not lead to dangerous infractions.
