Vietnam Police Urge Citizens to Verify Their ID Card Numbers After Duplicate Report

A Vietnamese citizen reported that their national ID number (001077001887) appeared to be duplicated with another person, Nguyễn Thị Bích Hồng, causing concern over tax and social‑insurance records. The Ministry of Public Security checked the national population database, the ID issuance system, and the organization identifier system and confirmed that the number is assigned solely to Trần Tuấn Minh, born in 1977, with no other matching records.

Police advised anyone who finds their ID number appearing in tax or social‑insurance data to contact the relevant data‑management agency for verification and correction. They also said they will cooperate with authorities to provide and authenticate information if inconsistencies are detected.
