Vietnam Politburo member Tran Cam Tu visits wounded veterans in Nghe An

On July 15, 2026, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu visited the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Centre in central Vietnam. He presented gifts to 83 wounded and sick veteran soldiers receiving long‑term care, as well as to 18 relatives of revolution contributors and five retired civil servants housed at the centre.

Tran Cam Tu expressed gratitude on behalf of the Party and State for the veterans’ sacrifices, praised their resilience, and highlighted the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day. He mourned the recent deaths of two centre residents, urged authorities to grant them posthumous martyr recognition, and reiterated the ongoing 500‑day campaign to locate and identify fallen soldiers. The official called for continued improvement of policies and material and spiritual support for war invalids, sick soldiers, and their families.
