Vietnam Railways launches 2027 Lunar New Year ticket sales
Vietnam Railways (VNR) has announced its ticket sales plan for the 2027 Lunar New Year (Tet) on the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route. The sales process will be conducted in two distinct stages to manage demand and prevent speculation.
The first stage, running from August 30 to September 4, 2026, prioritizes group bookings for organizations, including the armed forces, universities, industrial zones, and various enterprises. To ensure fairness, passengers are limited to a maximum of 10 tickets per direction per transaction.
General ticket sales for individual passengers will commence at 8:00 AM on September 5, 2026. Travelers can book through the official website (dsvn.vn), mobile applications, or directly at stations and authorized agents.
In the aviation sector, Vietjet has also launched early sales for 3.1 million tickets for the 2027 Lunar New Year period, covering both domestic and international networks. The airline's flight capacity for this season represents a 6% increase compared to the previous year.
