Vietnam prepares for inaugural Vietnam Culture Day in 2026
The Department of Performing Arts, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, has issued a call to artists, theaters, and cultural organizations to prepare for the inaugural Vietnam Culture Day on November 24, 2026.
Established by the Politburo's Resolution 80-NQ/TW, the annual observance aims to position culture as a spiritual foundation and a key driver of sustainable national development. The initiative encourages the creation of high-quality, engaging programs that honor national identity, traditional values, and achievements in national construction and defense.
Beyond political themes, the department urged creators to produce works that balance entertainment with aesthetic depth and social impact, fostering patriotism and community responsibility through the arts.
