Vietnam prepares health and security measures for 2026 high school graduation exam

Vietnam's Ministry of Health has issued a plan to safeguard the health of more than 1.2 million candidates, their families and exam staff during the 2026 high‑school graduation (THPT) examinations. The plan focuses on disease prevention, environmental sanitation, food‑safety inspections, medical treatment capacity and rapid response to emergencies. Local health agencies are instructed to intensify epidemiological surveillance, ready rapid‑response teams, and equip hospitals with dedicated beds, medicines and equipment for exam‑related incidents.

The Ministry of Public Security has simultaneously deployed a comprehensive security strategy. Police units will guard test‑paper preparation, printing, transport and storage around the clock, enforce strict isolation of exam materials, and manage traffic and public order at more than 2,500 test sites. Authorities will also combat high‑tech cheating, including the use of AI tools, and have warned that any leakage of exam papers can be prosecuted as a criminal offense. Public communication campaigns are underway to raise awareness among students and teachers about the penalties for unauthorized sharing of exam content.
