Vietnam President To Lam marks 79th Veterans and Martyrs Day

President To Lam, also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, issued a letter on the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's Veterans and Martyrs Day. The message expressed deep gratitude to war veterans, martyrs, disabled veterans, families of the fallen, former soldiers, former police, and all who contributed to national independence.

He highlighted the sacrifices of multiple generations, recalling the hardships endured during wars for independence and the continued commitment of the Vietnamese people. The letter called for continual remembrance of the heroes and stressed their lasting contribution to the nation’s development and international standing.
