Vietnam Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng directs national asset recovery effort
Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng chaired a meeting of the Central Steering Committee for enforcement of judgments and the recovery of assets misappropriated or lost in corruption cases. Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc, Chief Justice Nguyễn Văn Quảng and officials from ministries, banks and local authorities participated. The committee reviewed progress, identified obstacles and ordered the Ministry of Justice to promptly finalize draft regulations defining duties and responsibilities for all members. It also called for close cooperation with the State Bank of Vietnam and other agencies to resolve implementation difficulties, compile an inventory of seized assets, propose a processing plan, schedule and clear task assignments. The goal is to maximise the recovery of state assets while safeguarding the legitimate rights of affected parties.
