Vietnam Prime Minister orders action on textbook shortages

The Vietnamese Prime Minister has called for a decisive review and action to resolve textbook shortages at the start of the school year. The directive includes clarifying the responsibilities of the organizations and individuals involved to ensure all students have access to necessary materials.

In economic news, Ho Chi Minh City has been named one of five “Cities to Watch” in the Asia-Pacific region, alongside Kuala Lumpur, Bengaluru, Shenzhen, and Tashkent. The recognition is based on the city's rapid economic growth, relative income equality, and economic stability. Projections suggest the metropolis will be among the 50 fastest-growing cities globally over the next five years.

Additionally, Hanoi is set to host the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics for the first time. The event is expected to feature 320 contestants from 67 teams, including 65 international teams and two from Vietnam.
