Vietnam Prime Minister orders anti‑fraud crackdown; Thanh Hóa cuts meetings

The Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Directive No. 30/CT‑TTg, directing ministries, local authorities and the police to intensify prevention, detection and prosecution of fraud and asset‑theft schemes. The directive calls for early‑warning technologies, tighter control of e‑wallet and mobile‑money accounts, and coordinated action by the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other agencies.

In Thanh Hóa province, the provincial chairman issued Directive No. 12 to strengthen administrative discipline, reduce unnecessary meetings and allocate at least one‑third of officials’ time to field visits. The order mandates the "6 clear" principle for tasks, requires clear responsibility and accountability, and bans the delegation of duties that should be handled locally. It also sets procedures for meeting invitations and documentation to improve efficiency for citizens and businesses.
