Vietnam Prime Minister orders enhanced security for National Day holiday

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has issued an official dispatch to strengthen security and public order during the upcoming five-day National Day holiday, which commemorates the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

Due to increased travel, tourism, and recreational activities, authorities have been warned of potential risks regarding social order, criminal activity, traffic safety, and fire hazards. The Prime Minister directed ministries and local governments to proactively prevent and neutralize threats, including terrorism and sabotage, while ensuring the safety of key installations and international delegations.

The Ministry of Public Security is tasked with coordinating with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to maintain national security and social order. Additionally, law enforcement must focus on suppressing crimes such as gambling, theft, drug use, and illegal racing, while strictly managing cybersecurity and information systems.
