Vietnam considers removing mandatory notary for land deals

Banking representatives have noted that removing mandatory notarization could make it difficult for financial institutions to verify the legal status of assets and ensure that land use certificates match official registration data. Suggestions have been made to implement online notarization or digital signatures to mitigate these risks.

In a related administrative development, the Dak Lak provincial government has issued a directive to address delays in land-related administrative procedures. The province has ordered local authorities to review responsibilities regarding overdue land dossiers to improve coordination and efficiency.
