Vietnam provides free textbooks to schools for 2026‑2027 academic year
The National Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN) in Vietnam is delivering a unified set of textbooks for the 2026‑2027 school year. By 20 July, more than 85 % of the textbooks had arrived in localities, inventory levels topped 99 %, and distribution to provinces reached over 85 %.
Teacher training on the new curriculum was conducted in two rounds during June and July, with completion scheduled for the end of July. NXBGDVN plans to publish 204.47 million textbooks and 37.32 million workbooks, covering roughly 19 million primary and secondary students. The publisher aims to ensure all schools receive the materials before 15 August, and it urges local education departments to prepare reliable ordering plans for the 2027‑2028 year to avoid shortages.
