Vietnam provinces implement measures to support businesses

Various Vietnamese provinces are implementing administrative and financial measures to support businesses facing economic pressures. In one region, tax authorities have extended tax payment deadlines, providing nearly 500 billion VND in relief, primarily through value-added tax extensions. This initiative aims to help companies manage cash flow and maintain production amidst rising input costs and fluctuating market demand.

In Phu Tho province, a pilot “Green Lane” mechanism has been introduced to accelerate administrative procedures for key projects. The mechanism operates through two formats: a “24-hour Green Lane” for rapid processing and a “50% Green Lane” that cuts processing times in half. As of August 2026, the province has processed 544 applications under this scheme, with 539 resolved on or before the deadline, representing a 99.1% success rate.
