Vietnam provinces intensify fire prevention and rescue activities

Authorities in Vietnam are launching various activities to commemorate the 25th anniversary of National Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Day and the 65th anniversary of the Firefighting and Rescue Police force.

In Lao Cai province, the People's Committee has directed local departments and businesses to strengthen propaganda efforts and organize practical drills to mitigate safety risks. The provincial police are preparing large-scale rescue and firefighting drills for 2026, while commune-level police will assist in organizing drills for 100% of local fire safety groups and public firefighting points. Public awareness campaigns will utilize electronic boards, banners, and mobile vehicles to educate citizens on using fire extinguishers and creating secondary escape routes.

In Bac Ninh, the city police are integrating emulation movements into their regular duties. These activities focus on professional training, maintaining combat readiness, and ensuring safety during major political and cultural events. Training includes physical conditioning and specialized drills to improve coordination and response speed during real-world emergencies.
