Vietnam provinces Quang Ngai and Dong Thap report large‑scale thefts of equipment and iPhones

In Quang Ngai province's Dung Quat Economic Zone, a 24‑year‑old worker at VNT 19 pulp‑paper company stole more than 100 electrical modules valued at over 3 billion VND. The suspect, identified as T.L.M.S., sold the equipment to fund football betting and other gambling activities. Local police have detained the individual and are proceeding with legal action.

In Dong Thap province, two youths—23‑year‑old Nguyen Van Duy and 18‑year‑old Ho Quoc Thai—broke into two mobile‑phone stores, stealing a total of 45 iPhone units worth more than 456 million VND. All phones were recovered, and the suspects have been arrested and placed under temporary detention.
