Vietnam sets 2026 high school admission deadlines and exam results

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced that students who passed the 2026 high‑school entrance exam must confirm enrollment between 13:30 GMT+7 on 25 June and 24:00 on 27 June. Confirmation can be done online via the city's admission portal or in person at the schools. Students who miss the deadline lose their place and cannot take part in the supplemental admission round on 4‑6 July.

In Ho Chi Minh City, 3,133 candidates have confirmed admission to specialized high schools and integrated English‑class programs, including 600 at the Năng Khiếu school. The city will use virtual filtering to delete these students' regular‑school preferences, freeing slots for other applicants. The cutoff scores for regular public schools are expected to be published by 30 June.

The Ministry of Education and Training will publish the national high‑school graduation exam results on 1 July. Students may file re‑examination requests from 1‑5 July, with decisions due by 20 July. Graduation certificates and transcripts will be issued by 7 July, enabling online university‑preference registration from 2‑14 July. The exam, held on 11‑12 June, saw a record 1.2 million participants and introduced a new rubric for Vietnamese essay grading.
