Vietnam Pushes Ahead with Major Highway Projects in Lam Dong and Tay Ninh

The Ministry of Construction ordered that the two Lam Dong expressway projects – Tan Phú‑Bảo Lộc and Bảo Lộc‑Liên Khương – be built simultaneously in July 2026 to address slow progress. The ministry highlighted that land acquisition is only 45 % complete on the Tan Phú‑Bảo Lộc route and 68 % on the Bảo Lộc‑Liên Khương route, urging provincial authorities to clear 100 % of the land by September and to fast‑track design approvals, material permits and financing under a public‑private partnership model.

In neighboring Tay Ninh, the provincial government reported spending nearly VND 6 trillion on compensation and resettlement for the Ring Road 4 project around Ho Chi Minh City. Compensation for 2 774 households, amounting to VND 5 992.61 billion, has been completed, and the road‑building segment is slated to start in early September. The province has also begun clearing mines, preparing relocation sites and coordinating with power utilities to move electrical infrastructure.
