Vietnam pushes into global Halal market at Bangkok Expo 2026

Vietnam took a prominent role at the Grand Halal Bangkok 2026 exhibition, which ran 15‑17 July at BITEC in Thailand. Around 500 exhibitors from 60 countries attracted about 15,000 visitors, showcasing products across food, beverage, cosmetics, fashion, health, tourism, finance and packaging. Ambassador Pham Viet Hung said the event offers Vietnamese firms a gateway to the worldwide Halal market of 2.2 billion consumers and helps align Vietnam’s strategy for Halal industry development. Vietnamese companies highlighted their agricultural and food processing strengths, aiming to build supply‑chain links with Thailand, the Middle East and other ASEAN partners.

The participation fits broader Vietnamese efforts to expand trade ties, illustrated by simultaneous references to the Vietnam‑Laos Expo 2026 and other initiatives to boost bilateral economic cooperation.
