National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) has introduced VietQR Global, a cross‑border QR payment platform that lets international visitors complete transactions in Vietnam by scanning a QR code with their home‑country banking app or e‑wallet. The service currently supports users from China (Alipay, UnionPay), South Korea (GLN, Hana Financial Group, Naver Pay), Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, with plans to add Japan, Singapore, India and Malaysia. VietQR Global is accepted at a network of Sun Group venues, including Capella Hanoi, Oakwood Ha Long, Serena Resort, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Novotel Danang Premier Han River, Ba Na Hills Golf Club, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, La Festa Phu Quoc, Eschuri Vung Bau Golf and Sun PhuQuoc Airways. Payments are processed instantly, offering a secure and convenient option for tourists, business travellers and expatriates exploring Vietnam.
