Vietnam Railway announces up to 40% discount on sleeper tickets

The Vietnam Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has launched a series of ticket discount programs to encourage passenger use of rail travel, particularly for two-way journeys.

Between September 7 and September 10, 2026, passengers on select SE trains traveling through Central Vietnam can receive discounts ranging from 15% to 40%. Specifically, for trains SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, SE10, and SE20, travelers on routes between Da Nang and Cho Sy, or Hue and Hanoi, can receive a 15% discount on air-conditioned soft seats and a 30% discount on various sleeper berths. On routes between Da Nang and Dieu Tri, discounts reach up to 40% for sleeper berths.

Additionally, the company is offering round-trip incentives. For individual travelers, booking return tickets 1 to 19 days in advance yields a 20% discount on the return leg, while booking 20 days or more in advance provides a 30% discount. These round-trip promotions are scheduled in two phases: from September 7 to November 19, 2026, and from November 25 to December 30, 2026.
