Vietnam raises retail gasoline prices on July 1

Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the Ministry of Finance, announced new ceiling prices for fuel effective 00:00 on 1 July. The maximum retail price for E5 gasoline (RON 92) was set at 20,785 VND per litre, an increase of 1,426 VND, and for E10 gasoline (RON 95) at 21,203 VND per litre, up 1,287 VND. Prices for diesel (0.05 S) and mazut (180 CST 3.5 S) remain unchanged at 21,866 VND per litre and 15,030 VND per kilogram respectively. A stability fund of 300 VND per litre for bio‑fuel gasoline, and 800 VND per litre/kg for diesel and mazut, will be drawn from the state budget. Tax exemptions on import duties, environmental taxes and VAT for fuel products are extended to 30 September 2026; the environment tax stays at 0 VND and special consumption taxes are 8 % for E5 and 7 % for E10. The ministry reported that from 1 June to 24 June, total bio‑fuel consumption reached about 850 million litres, with E10 accounting for roughly 94 % of that volume, and assured that supply chains remain stable.
