Vietnam readies 2026 high school graduation exams, enforcing strict security

On 8 June, Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training outlined detailed rules for the 2026 high‑school graduation exam, which will involve more than 129,000 candidates in the capital and over 1.2 million nationwide. Police and education officials will jointly train exam supervisors to detect sophisticated cheating tools, and any breach could be treated as a state secret violation. Contingency plans address potential flood‑related disruptions in mountainous provinces, with alternative sites and logistical support prepared to ensure all candidates can sit the exam despite adverse weather.
