Vietnam regional councils approve major urban projects and local resolutions
In Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Council has approved four urban renovation projects for the southern bank of the Kenh Doi canal, with a total investment exceeding 49,000 billion VND. Spanning approximately 8.8 km, the projects aim to relocate canal-side housing, construct embankments, expand Pham The Hien Street, and improve technical infrastructure and green spaces. The initiative, scheduled for the 2026–2032 period, seeks to address issues regarding temporary housing structures, poor sanitation, and inadequate drainage in the area.
Separately, the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council held its 8th session to pass 13 resolutions. These decisions cover various administrative and developmental sectors, including organizational structures for local party committees, resource allocation for national target programs, human resource development, science and technology policies, and land use for project bidding.
