Vietnam reports growth in import-export and FDI
Vietnam is seeing significant growth in import-export activities and foreign direct investment (FDI) across various regions. At Quy Nhon Port, import-export turnover reached over $2.4 billion in the first eight months of 2026, a 19.1% increase compared to the previous year. This growth contributed to a budget revenue of over 576 billion VND, exceeding annual targets by 21.5%. The implementation of automated customs clearance systems has reduced processing times by 5 to 7 times, enhancing efficiency for businesses.
In Quang Ninh, FDI attraction has shown strong results, with total FDI capital reaching over $1.1 billion through August 2026. The province currently hosts 237 active FDI projects from 20 countries and territories, with a total registered capital of nearly $16 billion. Industrial parks such as Song Khoai and Bac Tien Phong are playing a central role in this growth, attracting billions of dollars in secondary investment due to improved infrastructure, land availability, and strategic logistics connections.
