Vietnam Resolution 68-NQ/TW targets private sector growth

Resolution 68-NQ/TW has established the private sector as a primary driver of Vietnam's national economy. The resolution aims to foster growth, job creation, and innovation by ensuring businesses have equal access to resources and legal protections.

By 2030, the government sets ambitious targets to reach 2 million active enterprises. The private sector is projected to achieve an average annual growth rate of 10-12%, contributing approximately 55-58% to the national GDP and providing employment for 84-85% of the total workforce. The focus is shifting from merely increasing the number of businesses to developing stronger, more professional entities capable of competing in global value chains.
