Vietnam schools secure spots in global rankings and awards

Seventeen Vietnamese institutions have been placed in the Times Higher Education (THE) world university rankings, highlighting the country's growing presence in global higher‑education assessments. At the same time, local initiatives such as free Taekwondo classes for youth and pilot programs for computer‑based high‑school examinations starting in 2027 are being promoted to enhance student safety and modernise assessment methods, while textbook prices for the new school year have been reduced by an average of 13.3%.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Inspire Khai Nguyên school system was named one of the top ten finalists for the 2026 World's Best School Prizes in the "Supporting Healthy Lives" category. The school was recognised for its "High Tech – High Touch" approach, blending digital tools with strong personal connections, and is the first Vietnamese institution to be designated a Google Reference School, collaborating with the Ministry of Education on technology‑driven teaching practices.
