Vietnam search teams recover more martyr remains in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City

Search operations in Vietnam have led to the discovery of additional martyr remains in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.

In Dong Nai, military teams K72 and K76 recovered three sets of remains. Two were located at the former Loc Ninh airport, and one was found in Loc Tam hamlet. These efforts are part of a high-intensity 500-day campaign to locate and repatriate fallen soldiers.

In Ho Chi Minh City, search teams at Le Thi Rieng Park discovered 12 more sets of remains on August 11, including five located in a newly identified mass grave. This brings the total number of remains found at the park since June 23 to 268, distributed across eight mass grave sites and numerous individual burials. The park area, formerly the Do Thanh and Chi Hoa cemeteries, is believed to contain the remains of soldiers who died during the 1968 Tet Offensive.
