Vietnam Secures Over 10 Billion VND in Rural Road Contracts and Faces Material Shortages on Coastal Highway

The construction firm Nghia Hiep Thanh Co. Ltd. was awarded two rural road contracts in Trị An ward, Đồng Nai Province, on 23 June 2026. The projects, covering routes in Vĩnh An 1 commune, have a combined estimated cost of more than 10.44 billion VND and generate a total saving of about 313 million VND for the state budget.

Separately, the 77‑km coastal highway linking Ho Chi Minh City and Lâm Đồng (project DT994) is being built with an investment exceeding 7 trillion VND. While several sections have been completed and opened, contractors report significant delays due to shortages of construction materials and unfinished land acquisition, especially on the Phước Hải‑Bình Châu stretch. The authorities aim to finish the remaining works by the end of 2026.
