Vietnam pursues digital and AI cooperation with Singapore

Vietnam is advancing its digital transformation through international cooperation and domestic initiatives. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, head of the CPV Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, met with Li Hongyi, Director of Open Government Products at Singapore’s GovTech, to discuss strategic cooperation in science, technology, and artificial intelligence. Vietnam seeks to leverage Singapore’s expertise to improve public administration, specifically regarding the operation of the National Data Centre and high-performance computing and AI centers.

Domestically, the National Innovation Center (NIC) has partnered with Canva Vietnam to promote digital creativity and AI application in education. The program aims to train approximately 30,000 teachers and 2,000 educational managers in digital skills and innovative teaching methods.

Additionally, local digital literacy efforts continue, such as the “Digital Popular Education” movement in Vinh Phuc ward, which utilizes community technology teams to assist citizens with digital services, and the implementation of digital feedback systems in Muong Lai commune to resolve local grievances more efficiently.
