Vietnam sees record high enrollment for 2026 university and college admissions
Vietnam's higher‑education admissions for 2026 are showing a sharp increase. At the University of Culture in Ho Chi Minh City, cut‑off scores rose dramatically, with some programmes gaining up to 8.5 points compared with the previous year. The university recorded nearly 13,000 applicants in the national admission system, far above the prior year’s total.
Colleges across the country are also filling seats ahead of university cut‑off announcements. The Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics has already enrolled close to its 3,200‑student target, while the Dong An High‑Tech College expects over 1,500 enrolments. In Đồng Nai, the College of Mechanical Engineering and Hydraulic met its 2,050‑student quota, and Hanoi’s College of Electromechanics reports about 50 % of its planned intake already registered. The surge reflects strong demand for vocational and technical training as employers seek skilled labour.
