Vietnam stock market sees huge liquidity surge in Vinaconex and HSC shares
Vinaconex (VCG) shares rallied on 29 June, rising 6.89% to 20,950 VND and trading over 11.3 million shares—about five times the ten‑day average—pushing the company’s market capitalisation to roughly 13.5 trillion VND. The firm has approved the issuance of more than 51.7 million new shares to fund a 2025 dividend and plans a capital increase to nearly 6.98 trillion VND in 2026, pending regulator approval. In Q1 2026 Vinaconex reported revenue of 3.424 trillion VND, up 31.9%, and net profit after tax of 369 billion VND, a 143.4% increase.
Ho Chi Minh Securities (HSC) recorded several large block trades over two sessions, with more than 56.4 million shares changing hands at around 27,800 VND per share, valuing the transactions at roughly 1.57 trillion VND. The company also announced registration to offer about 270 million shares to existing shareholders at 10,000 VND each, aiming to raise close to 2.7 trillion VND for margin‑lending operations. Dragon Capital Markets remains the largest shareholder with 31.5% of equity. In Q1 2026 HSC posted revenue of 1.466 trillion VND (up 46.7%) and profit before tax of 364 billion VND (up 28.4%).
