Vietnam Summer Camp 2026 launches with 100+ overseas youth on heritage tour

More than 100 overseas Vietnamese youths from 32 countries gathered in Hanoi on 13 July to open the Vietnam Summer Camp 2026. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Thị Thu Hằng and officials of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese announced a 14‑day, 1,500‑km itinerary that will take participants from Hanoi through Ninh Bình, Nghệ An, Huế, Đà Nẵng, Gia Lai and Nha Trạng, visiting historic sites linked to President Hồ Chí Minh, cultural heritage locations and naval academies.

The program aims to deepen participants’ knowledge of Vietnam’s history, culture and language, foster volunteer activities and encourage them to maintain Vietnamese as a spoken language abroad. Speakers such as Mai Hải Khôi, a Vietnamese community member in Poland, said the camp offers a rare chance to use their mother‑tongue and build lasting ties with the homeland.
