Vietnam Tax Authority develops digital assistant for taxpayers
The Vietnam Tax Department is implementing a project to redesign business processes and digitalize tax management, with a target completion date of 2028. The initiative aims to connect the tax authority's information technology system directly with corporate accounting systems.
This integration is intended to automate tax declarations, allowing businesses to focus more on management and production. Beyond simplifying procedures, the system is designed to function as a “senior assistant” or “consultant” for taxpayers. It will provide leadership with data-driven insights regarding market positioning, input and output pricing, industry trends, and market share to support growth both domestically and internationally.
