Vietnam teachers adopt AI to streamline test creation and grading

Education experts in Vietnam say artificial intelligence can handle repetitive tasks such as drafting exam questions, grading and providing instant explanations, but it cannot replace the core relational role of teachers. AI platforms like AutoExam let educators generate a draft test with a simple prompt – for example, “Create a 15‑minute Grade 10 math quiz on quadratic functions” – which can then be edited in minutes instead of hours.

The time saved is intended to be redirected toward activities only humans can perform: observing struggling students, offering motivation, building trust with parents and personalising support. While AI can quickly identify patterns of mistakes, it cannot diagnose underlying causes such as lack of foundational knowledge or personal issues. Consequently, reliable AI tools must include human oversight to ensure accuracy and alignment with curricula.

Teachers are encouraged to start by delegating a single repetitive task each week to AI and to join the AutoExam community for guidance and best‑practice sharing.
