Vietnam tourism authority highlights top 10 beaches as visitor numbers surge

Vietnam's National Tourism Authority has promoted Lonely Planet's list of ten must‑visit beaches for the summer, naming Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Phú Quốc, My Khe, An Bang, Côn Son, Cat Ba and others as flagship coastal destinations.

Tourism data released by the authority show a strong rebound: about 1.7 million international visitors arrived in June 2026, a 14.7 % year‑on‑year rise, and total arrivals in the first half of the year reached roughly 12.3 million, up 14.9 % and almost half of the annual target.

Revenue from tourism is also climbing, with provinces such as Old Street reporting 25.3 trillion đồng in the first six months. New air links are being opened, including Sun Phu Quốc Airways routes from August 16 to Koh Lan and Hanoi, Vietjet’s restoration of Da Lat flights, and Vietnam Airlines’ Colombo service.

Beyond beaches, local initiatives are expanding cultural tourism: community‑based projects in Thanh Hoa’s Ngam village preserve ethnic Thai heritage, ancient houses are restored for visitors, and natural sites such as Thác Mây waterfall attract domestic and foreign tourists.
