Vietnam tourism wins multiple honors at World Travel Awards 2026

Vietnam's tourism sector achieved significant recognition at the 2026 World Travel Awards held in the Maldives. The country was named ‘Asia’s Leading Destination 2026’, a title it has maintained since 2022.

Major cities and specific destinations received multiple honors. Ho Chi Minh City was recognized as Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination and Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination, while its Department of Tourism was named Asia’s Leading City Tourist Board. Hanoi earned the title of Asia’s Leading City Break Destination. Other notable winners include Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park as Asia’s Leading National Park, and Ta Xua and Moc Chau for their natural and emerging tourism appeal.

In the corporate sector, Sun Group secured 12 awards, including Asia’s Leading Tourism Group and Asia’s Leading Accommodation Developer. Vietjet was named Asia’s Leading Airline Brand 2026. Additionally, TSTtourist was honored as Vietnam’s Leading Travel Agency. These accolades highlight the growing diversity and competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism infrastructure, ranging from luxury resorts and aviation to cultural and natural heritage sites.
