Vietnam transfers 7,000 war martyr remains for DNA identification
More than 7,000 biological samples of bone remains from war martyrs were transferred from Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City to Gia Lam Airport in Hanoi for identification purposes.
A solemn ceremony was held at Gia Lam Airport, including incense offerings and a minute of silence to honor the fallen soldiers. Following the ceremony, the samples were transported via specialized vehicles to the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The remains will undergo DNA analysis to facilitate the formal identification of the martyrs.
