Vietnam tycoon Pham Nhat Vuong ranks 63rd globally, stays richest in Southeast Asia

According to Forbes' real‑time update on 24 June 2026, Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup, has a net worth of US$35.5 billion, placing him 63rd on the world’s billionaire list and keeping him the wealthiest person in Southeast Asia. His wealth rose by US$1.6 billion (4.6 %) from the previous day, helped by gains in Vingroup’s listed units: Vingroup (VIC) shares rose 0.66 % to 230,500 VND and Vinhomes (VHM) shares rose 2.31 % to 159,600 VND, with Vuong holding about 704 million VIC shares (over 9 % of capital). He also owns 146.2 million LPBank shares (4.894 % of the bank). Since first appearing on Forbes in 2013 with US$1.5 billion, his assets have grown by roughly US$34 billion. On 22 June 2026 he stepped down as CEO of VinFast’s production subsidiary, succeeded by Trinh Van Ngan, while remaining global CEO of VinFast.
