Vietnam sets 2026 university admission score thresholds
By early July 2026, between 19 and 23 Vietnamese universities have published minimum admission scores (điểm sàn) based on the high‑school graduation exam. The thresholds range from 15 points—the lowest set by Gia Đình University, Central Vietnam Construction University and Bình Dương University of Economics‑Technology—to as high as 25 points for the most competitive programmes at the University of Natural Sciences, Hanoi (a unit of Vietnam National University). Other leading institutions such as the University of Technology (24 points for computing, ICT and data science tracks) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (19.5–20 points) also disclosed their cut‑offs. The Ministry of Education and Training will announce common thresholds for teacher, health and law fields on 8 July. These scores determine eligibility for university and college applications in the 2026 recruitment round.
