Vietnam university enrollment: Financial aid and fraud warnings
As the 2026 university enrollment season begins in Vietnam, financial institutions and educational authorities are addressing the diverse needs and risks facing new students.
HD SAISON has launched its ‘Giảng đường khởi nguồn tương lai’ program, offering financial solutions for university expenses. The program includes tuition loan packages with limits up to 50 million VND, featuring terms of 18 to 36 months and interest rates starting from 0.68% per month. Additionally, the company is providing non-physical student credit cards with waived annual fees to assist with daily living expenses such as food, transportation, and study materials.
Simultaneously, concerns regarding fraud targeting new students have risen. Parents are increasingly accompanying their children to cities like Ho Chi Minh City due to fears of scams. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has issued warnings regarding fraudulent admission notices, fake links requesting personal information, and deceptive requests for tuition fee transfers.
