Vietnam University Volunteers Kick Off 2026 Mùa Hè Xanh Campaign

More than 1,000 volunteers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, officially launched the 33rd Mùa Hè Xanh (Green Summer) campaign on 12 July 2026. The effort mobilises 31 volunteer teams to operate in Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Tây Ninh, Lâm Đồng, Đồng Tháp and Vĩnh Long, delivering projects in community development, digital services, education, environment, culture and tourism. A new “Digital Summer” team focuses on helping residents access online public services and improving digital skills.

Separately, volunteers from Hanoi Pedagogical University deployed a 40‑member team to three elderly homes in Hanoi—Bách Niên Thiên Đức, ALH and Diên Hồng—where they run five‑week programmes of mental‑health support, reminiscence games and intergenerational activities. The initiatives aim to bridge the generation gap, boost seniors’ well‑being and apply students’ psychology and education training in real‑world settings.
