Vietnam War mass graves identified in Dong Nai and Tay Ninh

In Dong Nai Province, the military forensic team K72 announced the discovery of a possible collective burial site containing the remains of 30‑40 soldiers who fell in 1968. The suspected location is at the junction of Lý Thái Tổ and Hồ Thủy Long roads in Phước Long ward. The team has already recovered 81 sets of skeletal remains and a number of personal artifacts, and it continues to seek eyewitnesses to confirm identities.

In Tay Ninh Province, the K71 team, together with local authorities, exhumed a set of remains believed to belong to soldier Võ Văn Phú, who was wounded in 1967 and died after seeking water at a civilian home. The remains were found in the garden of 84‑year‑old Doan Văn Sáng. DNA samples have been taken for identification, and the team has so far recovered eight sets of remains across the province since mid‑July, six of which were in An Tịnh ward.
