Vietnam weather forecast: Heavy rain expected in central regions

Vietnam is expected to experience varied weather conditions on August 31, characterized by heavy rainfall in central regions and sunny periods in the north.

From Thanh Hoa to northern Quang Tri, heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast with common rainfall between 30-60mm, while some areas may see totals exceeding 130mm. From the evening of August 31 through September 1, the area from southern Quang Tri to northern Da Nang may experience even heavier rainfall, with localized amounts exceeding 150mm. There is a specific warning for high-intensity rainfall exceeding 100mm within a three-hour period.

In the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, showers and thunderstorms are expected primarily during the afternoon and evening, with localized heavy rain. In the North, many areas will see sunny weather, though Hanoi may experience scattered showers and thunderstorms during the evening and night. Temperatures in Hanoi are expected to range between 25°C and 35°C. The South Central Coast is expected to remain relatively stable with sunny days and some heat, with temperatures potentially exceeding 35°C.
