Vietnam weather: Cold air mass and heavy rain warnings
Vietnam is preparing for significant weather shifts as a weak early-season cold air mass is expected to impact the North starting around September 9. This will bring rain, thunderstorms, and cooler temperatures, with mountain areas potentially dropping below 19 degrees Celsius.
Simultaneously, heavy rainfall is forecasted for Central and Southern Vietnam. From September 10, the Central region may experience widespread heavy rain due to the combination of the cold air mass, a tropical convergence zone, and a potential tropical depression in the East Sea. Rainfall in some areas could exceed 250mm, raising risks of flash floods, landslides, and urban flooding.
