Vietnam: Young Party members return to rural areas to build livelihoods
In Vietnam's disadvantaged regions, young Communist Party members are increasingly choosing to return to their hometowns to build sustainable livelihoods rather than seeking work in distant cities.
Local examples include Lò Văn Năm, a member of the Thái ethnic group, who transitioned from seasonal labor to large-scale livestock farming, managing approximately 30 buffaloes and generating an annual profit of about 300 million VND. Similarly, Hoàng Thị Tuyết Ngọc, a member of the Tày ethnic group, manages a pig farm producing 40 tons of commercial products annually with profits exceeding 200 million VND.
These individuals serve as community resources by sharing production experience and participating in local development efforts, highlighting the importance of providing stable livelihoods and opportunities for youth to contribute to their home provinces.
