Vietnam Youth Federation hosts baking contest and youth awards

The Vietnam Youth Federation held several events on October 10 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its traditional day.

In Ho Chi Minh City, a baking competition titled ‘Tinh hoa nghệ thuật làm bánh’ (The Essence of Baking Art) saw 30 finalists compete from an initial pool of over 500 participants. The competition required contestants to complete a pastry product within 75 minutes based on drawn themes. In the non-professional category (Group A), Vu Tran Anh from Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College took first place, while Duong Minh Tri won the professional category (Group B).

In Hanoi, the ‘Thanh nien song dep’ (Youth Living Beautifully) awards honored 15 exemplary young individuals for their social contributions and humanitarian actions. Selected from 129 nominations, the awardees represent diverse fields including healthcare, education, and disaster relief. Notable recipients include Pham The Quang, a lecturer who participated in international rescue missions in Myanmar and Venezuela, and Ca Van Minh from the Dien Bien provincial police.
